The 5th annual Wyndham Rose Homeowners Association picnic was recently held at the community.
Wyndham Rose is the final section built of the Jess Ranch development, and is a separate association. It includes 168 homes within the gated 55 and over community. There is no clubhouse included in the tract.
Previous picnics were held on one of the grassy greenbelt areas within the community. This year, a section of one street was closed off and converted into a canopy-covered area. Tables and chairs were set for 150 residents and homeowners, complete with festive seasonal decorations.
The orchestra played in one homeowner’s garage facing the street. Thanks to the wonderful music provided by the Willie Cockrell Orchestra from Apple Valley and their sound system. Music was enjoyed by everyone, especially those who like dancing.
Well over 100 residents were served scrumptious potluck dishes. The association provided hamburgers and hot dogs. There were numerous prize giveaways, along with pumpkins donated by Superior Landscape, and given to each resident at the end of the event.
This year’s event was coordinated by the newly formed Social Committee headed up by Gloria Webb. Volunteers included Nancy Savage, Mike Thompson, Connie Mason, Margie Walker, Bonnie Jacks, Angela Weldon, Ginny McDowell, Alice Moore and Darlene Porter. Thanks for a great event!
