The second phase of the Ranchero Corridor Project broke ground a year ago on January 11, 2013. The first phase was the Ranchero Road Underpass, completed in June.
Once the three-phase project is completed, the interchange will provide direct access to the freeway for Hesperia and Oak Hills residents from Ranchero, Mariposa and Caliente roads.
Ranchero Road is currently in the process of being widened to three lanes in each direction, and there will be additional turn lanes at the freeway ramp, and the two realigned frontage roads on either side of the freeway.
Utility relocations, flood control improvements, traffic signals, ramp metering, grading, drainage modifications, signing, striping, traffic handling, and replacement planting are all included in the project.
Don’t want to drive over to see what progress is being made? It’s now possible to watch the construction of this project from the comfort of your home! There are two on-site streaming cameras set up at the construction site , one showing progress on I-15 and the other from the Ranchero Road angle. They offer great views of the activity and progress of the project as it progresses, by taking still shots every 15 minutes.
