Evening Affaire Features Food, Wine, Music and Art

I had the privilege of attending the 16th Annual ‘An Evening Affaire,’ presented by the Victor Valley Chamber of Commerce and Auto Park at Valley Center.

It was held at the Mall of Victor Valley, which was transformed into a classy black and white themed elegant venue. I was quite impressed as this was my first time attending such an event as a guest. I usually am a vendor at such events!

Those lucky enough to get a booth had at least several hundred people go by during the two-and-a-half hours lenght of the event.

The mall was festively lit up, and depending on what you wanted to eat, drink or listen to, you could find a table to sit at and socialize. Alan Winkel Trio was playing soft bellows at one end.
Food vendors such as Marie Callenders, Mimi’s Cafe, and southern comfort food from Uncle Ditto’s, and an amazing Crème Brule was served by M.Cupcakes.

At another end of the mall, one could nibble on Cross Eyed Cow pizza from Oro Grande, or some pasta from Mama Carpino’s / Apple Valley. Stella Artois beer was featured, and D’Vine Wine Bar served fine wines. As I filled my stomach with all this wonderful food and drink, I listened to The Loose Canyons, playing hits from the 70’s and 80’s from Stray Cats to Led Zepplin.

As if all this wasn’t enough, there were 30 awesome items donated to be sold in the silent auction. These included a week in Cabo, to spa packages and more to bid on. I went home with Item #16, which included 8 VIP tickets in the owner’s suite for the High Desert Mavericks, and some lovely wine. Plus, a Razor Caster Trike that my two boys were very excited about (not to mention going to their first baseball game!)

This is one event I will certainly look forward to attending next year. Well done!
