The Rt. 66 Museum 19th Birthday Bash and Car Show was held on November 1 in Victorville.
The many attendees were entertained by Penny A Kiss, a trio of wonderful voices from the High Desert, singing 40’s and 50’s songs.
A 1961 Corvair was donated to the museum by Arnold Oberg and was won by Canadian Robert Wolski for $1400.
Attendees were able to walk through the Rt. 66 Museum and view memorabilia from Route 66’s past, including many memories of the High Desert’s earlier years.
Antique cars were in abundance, filling the museum’s parking lot and lining the lower streets in downtown Victorville.
The Route 66 museum is open Thursday through Monday at 16825 South “D” Street. For more info go to www.califrt66museum.org, or call (760) 951-0436.
