Ride in the Rocks Benefits Education in Lucerne Valley

What an incredible day for a Ride in the Rocks! The weather couldn’t have been better, clear skies, no wind, temperatures in the eighties, and volunteers and riders alike all seemed to have a good time.

Ride in the Rocks is a family event held in Lucerne Valley, featuring several walk/run opportunities and mountain bike riding courses.

The races are not a competition, and each person gets to ride at their own pace. Some really pushed it, but most were just out there to see if they could do it.

There were five and ten mile course for families to enjoy. Plus 25- and 40-mile courses for the hard core riders.

Ride in the Rocks was created by the Mitsubishi Cement Corporation Educational Foundation to raise money for enhancing the education experience for Lucerne Valley students. Some of these benefits are college scholarships and field trips.

Another benefit is that it gives the community a way to be involved in the support of local schools.

The 2014 Ride in the Rocks fundraiser was a huge success.
