Every second Saturday of the month the Santa Fe Trading Company holds a craft show, with skits, musical entertainment, food vendors and more. The store’s owner, Steve Blech, wants to see the Old
Town area of Victorville come back to life, and this helps people take notice.
The next show is Dec. 13.
The event is held in Old Town Victorville on 7th Street near Forrest.
The event is a great way to showcase the Old Town Victorville area, with its rustic feel and a variety of interesting businesses.
Blech’s mother owned a hair salon in that area for many years, and he has many good memories of hanging out there as a kid. That’s another reason why he would like to see a come-back.
At the November 15 craft fair, there were fine artists showing their work, jewelry, Native American crafts, Day of the Dead books and items, and a zoologist with reptiles for people to handle.
Code of the West Repertory Company of California put on a skit in the Lucky Star Saloon for the public to enjoy.
Several bands played throughout the day on three separate stages, offering a variety of music to suit just about anyone’s taste.
The Santa Fe Trading Company’s property consists of several indoor and outdoor shopping areas.
The showrooms and patios are filled with southwestern and Mexican artifacts, decorative items, furniture, hanging lamps, plants, and many more interesting and unique items.
Stop by any time to do a little Christmas shopping, or just browse and find something to decorate your own household with. It’s fascinating how much stuff is displayed there.
