Seniors Show Off Their Musical Talents

On March 31, over 100 performers showed show off their showmanship, during the Treasure of Talent show, held at the Victor Valley College Performing Arts Center.

This great event was the 7th senior talent show put on by Inter Valley Health Plan.

The show’s host John Lynd came out on stage dressed as a pirate, while Marcie Lerner from Inter Valley Health Plan acted as his ship mate during the festivities.

There was no lack of talented acts, including the group, Melodix performing songs from the play, South Pacific.

Nedra Murphy sang “Crazy,” just like Patsy Cline. Barry Sorensen and Alma Jimenez sang “Music of the Night,” from the Phantom of the Opera, and 85-year-old Frankie Fiore did the Frankie Flash Boogie.

Members of Linaka Pua Llima danced to the Green Rose Hula.

The Mojave Range Rovers Barber Shop Quartet wowed the audience, and members of the Jin Suk Korean dancers performed.

At the end, all of the performers came out on stage to sing “God Bless America” together.

The talent show is part of the Vitality Series developed by Inter Valley Health Plan, which is not just a health plan, but a lifestyle.
