For the second year in a row, the Victor Valley Chamber of Commerce selected businesses and individuals to be honored for “making a difference.”
Accolades are awards granted as a special honor, or as an acknowledgment of merit, and these chamber members are to be congratulated.
The winners this year are: Chris Lamoreaux – Volunteer of the Year; Eric Schmidt – Most Inspirational Leader; Desert Communities United Way – Small Business Award of Excellence; ICR Staffing Services – Spirit of Victor Valley Award, and Valley-Hi Nissan – Large Business Award of Excellence.
All nominees and recipients have been generous of their time and resources, and have made an impact in our community.
Other nominees included Terry Cooper, Ginger Ontiveros, Paul Starks, Caroll Yule, Destiny Christian Center, Exquadrum, Greater Hope Foundation, Greiner Buick GMC, Reflections Catering, and Sterling Inn/Sterling Commons (Koelsch Communities).
The program included a welcome and flag salute by Victorville City Manager Doug Robertson, introduction of the nominees and presenting sponsor Desert Valley Hospital and Medical Group, and presentation of the Accolade Award to each winner.
