On Thursday, July 30, the Barstow Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center held a grand opening at its new location on “Route 66” Main Street, Barstow. Ambassador Committee Chairperson, Elena Rivera organized the event.
The new office offers information about the famous Route 66 and features items on display to help those traveling the Mother Road.
Chamber members and ambassadors were on hand to celebrate the opening with a ribbon cutting. Chamber Ambassadors are a trained and organized group that represent the chamber at multiple community and business events.
Rivera is developing plans for chamber growth, marketing projects and grant writing. The BACC is currently seeking a new executive director.
The next chamber breakfast program meeting will be held at the Ramada Inn on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 8 a.m.
