The Sun City Apple Valley community held it’s annual Talent/No Talent Show on July 10 and 11 at the Aspen Clubhouse.
Featured entertainers this year included Su Kim’s Line Dancers performing “My Greek #1,” Deborah Ross sang “Because You Love Me,” a skit “The $65 Funeral,” by Bob & Nancy Engelke, George Gutierrez played guitar and sang a medley of “Stairway to Heaven,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” and whistled.
Also, Barbara Baird and Bruce Jones played an11-finger piano piece “Liebesttraum,” Doug & Dinah Shumway danced “The Anniversary Waltz,” with singer Carmen Neidig and pianist Bruce Jones,
Ken Kaufman sang “New York, New York,” and M.C. Billy Morgan picked out people from the audience to play “Know Your Music.”
Other songs performanced were “It Must Be Him,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” and “Puttin’ on the Ritz.” The Zumbalinas danced to “Tequila” and “Bailando,” and skits were “It Takes a Village,” and “The Acme Robbery Case.” The Magic Man Don Moffitt did “Comedy Magic,” and a film “The New Fitness Instructors,” was produced by Danny Nichols and the Hard Rock Software Theater Guild.
All seemed to have a grand old time.
