Parade of PIanos Concert Features Variety of Performances

The Parade of Pianos held a concert at the Hi-Desert Center for Spiritual Living on Sunday, September 20.

The event featured a variety of musical performances on piano, guitar, drums, and other instruments, mostly by music students from the High Desert.

There was classical music, and some jazzy numbers, and even a hit song from the hit movie, Frozen.

Sanlyn and Caleb Carter sang America the Beautiful to begin the show. Next up was Darrell Harriman, performing Romance de Amour by Beto Prado.

Pianist Anna Komorita played the Sound of Silence by Stefan Levin, and Over the Rainbow by Harold Arlen & E.Y. Harburg.

Pianist Belinda Oceguera played Tempest by R. Smith, and Fur Elise by Beethoven.

Pianist Hugo Sanchez and Tayari Kuanda II also played classical piano music. A trio played Footprints to end the show.

Parade of Pianos gives scholarships and helps music students with acquiring instruments and lessons.
