Manufacturer's Made in the High Desert Exhibit

On October 15, 2015, High Desert Opportunity will continue its rich history of promoting business growth in the high desert region. This year, a special exhibit area featuring manufacturing business from the High Desert region promises to be an exciting new element for High Desert Opportunity.

The “Made in the High Desert” exhibit hall, presented by the First District Supervisor – Vice Chair, Robert A. Lovingood and Third District Supervisor- Chairman James Ramos, will shine the light on local manufacturing firms and will demonstrate the advantages of locating or expanding a business in the High Desert.

The “Made in the High Desert” Exhibit hall will be made available the day prior to High Desert Opportunity for local school tours. Supervisor Lovingood, who initiated the plan for the “made in the High Desert” featured stated, “the High Desert is home to innovative manufacturing firms that provide good local jobs. So we are highlighting these companies to show students local career opportunities in fields as diverse as aircraft parts and consumer goods manufacturing to unmanned aerial vehicles.

The exhibit hall underscores the benefits to manufacturers relocating to the High Desert: Inexpensive land, available labor pool, pro-business local governments, relaxed air-quality regulations and easy transportation links via freeway, rail and air”.
